Luc KoechlinCEO | EDF South Africa

Luc Koechlin is a graduate from a top French Business school. He has been working for EDF Group for the past 13 years. Before arriving in South Africa in 2017, he has occupied various positions within the EDF Group including Regional CFO, Project Manager and Regional Commercial Director.

He is responsible for EDF’s activities in the southern African countries, which includes the Nuclear New Build project for South Africa, as well as gas to power projects, dam projects in neighbouring countries, off-grid electrification development, renewable generation projects (run by EDF Renewables, EDF dedicated subsidiary in South Africa), and a broad range of services in energy efficiency, distribution, transport and generation.
