Mathieu BecueAttaché for Innovation, Embassy of France to South Africa

Mathieu's activity focuses on the development of cooperation between France and South Africa in the field of innovation. Privileged actions are conducted around technology transfer, support for the internationalization of young companies (Ie. Soft Landing Program), bringing together industrial and scientific players, on sectors with high potential for technological development (eg - AI and robotics), or whose current innovations tackle to important issues (eg - global warming). Increasing the visibility of our both innovation ecosystems is therefore a major challenge. Previously, as a research engineer in the Research Group in Theoretical and Applied Economics (GREThA UMR CNRS ) of the University of Bordeaux, awarded the CNRS Crystal Medal in 2016, Mathieu was in charge of the development and economic and technological intelligence platform (http://viainno.u-bordeaux.fr/).
