Vopak is the world's leading independent tank storage company. It operates 66 storage terminals in 23 different countries. In South Africa Vopak has a terminal in the port of Durban and is constructing a second terminal in Heidelberg.

Paul has been managing director of Vopak South Africa for 4 years and is actively involved in realizing the company's employment equity challenges. The new Heidelberg terminal will be the first terminal worldwide with a 50/50 split between men and women. The existing Durban terminal has been operationally managed by a woman over the past two years. In a male-dominated industry, there is much value to be gained from employing more women in (leadership) positions.
