Kasada and Ennismore Announce First Mama Shelter Hotel in South Africa

Kasada Capital Management and Ennismore a rapidly expanding lifestyle and leisure hospitality company have signed a hotel management contract for Mama Shelter Cape Town.

Kasada Capital Management, the leading independent real estate private equity platform dedicated to the hospitality sector in Africa is a member of the French South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FSACCI).

Scheduled for completion in the vibrant landscape of Cape Town, Mama Shelter Cape Town will introduce a novel brand concept, Mama Play, igniting a new era of hospitality experiences. The project stems from a collaboration between Ingenuity, a distinguished property and development company in the Western Cape, and Kasada. They aim to redefine the city's hospitality with their lively and flamboyant character.

The hotel will have 127 guestrooms. They will be in three categories. The hotel will also have 68 branded residences. They will cater to various accommodation needs. 213m² of meeting rooms and 380m² of co-working space will anchor the experience. There will also be a gym on the roof. Mama's signature all-day dining restaurant will be there too. The restaurant has a pool and deck. They have stunning views of Cape Town's iconic landmarks.

A highlight of Mama Shelter Cape Town will be Mama Play. It is a 742 sqm arcade with bowling, karaoke, and F&B outlets. It also has event spaces. Also, Ennismore will oversee a ground-floor restaurant on Bree Street. This will enhance the lively food scene of Cape Town.

Mama Shelter Cape Town is in the heart of the city in the historic City Park building. It will provide unmatched access to the city's bustling attractions. These include Adderley Street's flower sellers and Greenmarket Square's market stalls. There are also cultural landmarks such as the District Six Museum and the Castle of Good Hope.
