A Week of Celebration: Trace Awards 2025 in Zanzibar

One week ago, history was made on the Trace Awards stage in Zanzibar, where the 2025 edition honored the biggest names in African and Afro-inspired music. The night was a spectacular showcase of talent, passion, and creativity, with unforgettable performances and emotional acceptance speeches that highlighted the impact of African music on the global stage.

The Trace Awards Tour, which kicked off in Johannesburg, Nairobi, and Luanda, continues its journey through Douala, Abidjan, Dar Es Salaam, Lagos, and Kampala, bringing the celebration to music lovers across the continent. The tour not only highlights the achievements of established artists but also provides a platform for rising stars, amplifying the voices shaping the future of African music.

Tyler ICU Named Best Artist (Southern Africa)

Tyler ICU was awarded Best Artist (Southern Africa), highlighting his impact on the region’s music landscape. His influence continues to push the amapiano genre to new audiences.
