Gauteng Reaffirms Business Commitment at Investment Conference

The Gauteng Investment Conference took place on 3 April 2025 at the Marriott Hotel in Johannesburg, hosted by the Gauteng Growth and Development Agency (GGDA), the event brought together local and international investors.

The Gauteng Provincial Government used the platform to outline its plans to support business growth. This aligns with commitments made in the 2025 State of the Province Address and Budget Speech.

The government pledged to create a more enabling environment for investment. This includes reliable infrastructure in power, water, transport, and telecommunications. It also involves strengthening institutions and systems across departments and municipalities.

Efforts will focus on simplifying licensing and registration processes. Internal processes will be reviewed to remove inefficiencies and delays. Supply chain systems will be improved for transparency and consistency. A stable and predictable regulatory environment is a key priority.

Public-private partnerships remain central to Gauteng’s development approach. Sector plans will continue to guide infrastructure investment and project delivery.

As a representative of French businesses in South Africa, FSACCI will continue to track opportunities aligned with these priorities. The commitment to clear, actionable programmes offers a practical framework for business engagement in Gauteng.
